Beware The Slenderman is a look at the grisly case of two twelve-year-old girls in Wisconsin who stabbed a female companion 19 times in an attempt to pay homage to Slenderman, a fictional Internet monster. This documentary goes beyond the headlines and examines how adolescent isolation, mental health and the conflicting nature of the Internet created a dangerous mandate for two young people with lifelong consequences for all involved.
The documentary The Cheshire Murders follows the events of July 23, 2007, when two ex-convicts brutally murdered a family in the county, featuring exclusive interviews with family members and friends of the perpetrators.
The pre-new series programmes on HBO Latin America will begin on 7 January.
True Detective will return for its eight-episode third season in the US on 13 January, followed by other episodes subsequent Sundays at the same time. The new season tells the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods. Mahershala Ali stars as Wayne Hays, a state police detective from Northwest Arkansas. Carmen Ejogo and Stephen Dorff also star. Created by Nic Pizzolatto.
